MORE COUTURE

The #1 Hot Stop

Breakups are the number one way to ruin your day, week, or even month. Although you may not fully be over your ex-lover, removing that heavy breakup-weight off your chest is the way to a happ

STOP BASHING YOURSELF!

Instead of searching for all of the simple things you may have done wrong (wearing your favorite rock tee--the one that he wanted to burn) remember that, obviously, he isn't Mr. Perfect4U. Ignoring his flaws and remembering him as the perfect guy will only cause you to point out what you did wrong.

ENJOY YOURSELF

You don't need to be someone's arm-candy to have fun! After a breakup, do something you love. Go ice-skating with friends, play a game of tag with your younger siblings. Doing something you love will easily take your mind off the one who did  you wrong. Keep busy with activities, allowing yourself to realize there is a life after breakups.

WHAT FRIENDS ARE MADE OF

Your friends are always there in a time of need, whether it a chipped manicure, a public embarrassment, or a tough breakup. Your pals will be sure to give you a quick reality-check or let you sulk to them. Whatever their ethics are, they'll be sure to be there for you during your Breakup Wake-Up. Being with your friends will easily remind you that your ex isn't the only person that is capable of making you happy.

THE COLD SHOULDER

Checking out his Myspace or Facebook page isn't helping; when you're constantly re-reading his sent texts, emails, and IMs, you're digging yourself into a hole--a hole filled with photos of your ex. You're going to remember the good ol' times you two had together, then when reality hits, when you realize it's over, its going to hit hard. Be strong and put everything that reminds you of him into a bag, box and throw it away. If you can't bring yourself to dump so many memories, place everything in a box and give it to a friend, that way, you won't be tempted to constantly sneak peaks at his pics.

FLIRT!

Flirting is a girl's way to get over an ex-crush. But remember, don't turn your pain into sex! Hooking up with every willing guy you meet isn't actually going to help you. Breakup pain is emotional, not physical. Flirting will, over time, point out that their are chances of a loving a worthy, loving person and relationship still out there. No one should diminish the thought that you still have a chance at being in a good relationship.

CRY YOURSELF A RIVER

Holding in your anger, sadness, and pain is only going to cause your Breakup Wake-Up proccess to take more time. Let it out. Playing songs that express your feelings ("Picture to Burn" by Taylor Swift, Irreplaceble" by Beyonce, "Your Love is a Lie" by Simple Plan, etc.) will actually help you relieve your anger and pain.
